Waltham Litho was started in 1971 by Harry Drew and his two sons, Derek and Terry. In creating a family business, they were able to focus upon the client. The concept of providing a superior, personal service, has been the driving force behind our success and continues today. Bringing together a breadth of knowledge and experience from the reprographics and print industry, they laid the foundations of the company. This enabled us to provide a complete service from concept through to repro, printing, finishing and delivery under one roof.

Derek and Terry have been joined in the business by their sons, Matthew, Ian and Adam. They have gained valuable Industry qualifications and outside experience, which has benefited the business and our clients. The idea of a family business extends to our staff, with the heads of each department having worked with us for over 20 years. We have always placed a high premium on training our staff, reflected in the negligible staff turnover rates.

We have consistently invested in the latest technologies to the benefit of our clients. Amoung the first UK printers to install a 5 colour MO press to service the trend of corporates using additional corporate colours, this was followed swiftly by a 6 col press for 6th specials and reduced turnaround using sealers. We have experienced the move from Gallery cameras and film, through desk top publishing, final film output, digital proofing and most recently computer to plate with Prinergy workflow. More recently the conversion to B2 presses with coating units has seen the biggest impact on production times and service levels to the client.
